The Dorchester County Family YMCA is proud to offer quality Before and After School Care Programs to the children of Dorchester County.

 Before Care is offered on regularly scheduled school days at various elementary schools based on need.

The ASPIRE After School Program (After School Program for Inspiration, Recreation & Education) is offered on regularly scheduled school days at the YMCA for Sandy Hill Elementary and onsite at Maple, Warwick, Choptank and Vienna Elementary Schools.

Before Care & ASPIRE are open to all children, Pre-K through 6th grade who attend (Parents of Middle School Students are required to arrange transportation to the closest Elementary School).

The YMCA’s goal is to keep your child safe, active and engaged during their after school hours by providing:

  • A minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity
  • Dorchester County Public Schools.
  • A healthy snack
  • 30 minutes of homework time and assistance
  • Recreation and enrichment activities such as games, arts and crafts and YMCA Readers.

Hours of Operation: Monday- Friday on regularly scheduled school days
Before Care: 7:00 am- School Start Time
After Care: School Dismissal- 6:00 pm

2017/2018 Child Care paperwork must be filled out PRIOR to child attending, for the safety of the children.

The YMCA reserves the right to limit the number of participants based on staffing & space availability. A minimum of 5 participants is required for before care and a minimum of 8 participants is required for after care to operate at each location.
